Raffmetal has obtained the prestigious ASI (Aluminium Stewardship Initiative) certification against the Performance Standard for the production, procurement and responsible management of aluminium.
"The certification of our activity according to the highest standards of sustainability in the aluminum industry is further confirmation that our daily action aimed at circularity is the way to go," says Orlando Niboli, President of Raffmetal. "Our product, 100% made from recycled material, guarantees significant energy savings with a consequent reduction of CO₂ emissions, helping to significantly reduce the carbon footprint along the entire production chain".
The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) is a global, multi-stakeholder, non-profit organization that sets standards and certification. It works for the responsible production, sourcing and management of aluminium following a value chain approach. ASI has more than 130 members including civil society organizations, companies with activities in bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting, semi-fabrication, production of products and components, as well as consumer and commercial goods, including the automotive, construction and packaging industries, as well as industry associations and other supporters.
